PENSACOLA, FL, February 28, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ — Emmanuel Sheppard & Condon (ESC) attorneys, Erick Drlicka and Jennifer Shoaf Richardson, represented a large national aerospace manufacturer in a four-day jury trial in Crestview, Florida.

The trial resulted in a verdict for the employer that found there was no age discrimination.

At trial, the plaintiff argued he was selected for a reduction in force as a result of his age, whereas the employer argued that non-discriminatory skills-based criteria were used to select individuals for inclusion in a reduction in force that was a result of overstaffing. Following the trial, the jury deliberated for approximately one hour and found that the plaintiff did not lose his job due to age discrimination.

Drlicka and Richardson routinely assist employers in responding to charges of discrimination, defending lawsuits from former employees, and bringing lawsuits for enforcement of restrictive covenants.
