The memorial fund will help support the Dr. Paul Yu Liu Excellence in Wound Healing Award.
This new WHF award, developed in close collaboration with the Liu family, will honor Dr. Liu’s extraordinary contributions to the science and humanity of wound care along with honoring his long commitment and service to WHF. The Dr. Paul Yu Liu Excellence in Wound Healing Award will inspire the next generation of clinicians and researchers to continue his life’s work, improving patient wound care.
The memorial fund donation will be given to the WHF on an annual basis during the Diabetic Limb Salvage (DLS) Conference taking place April 8 -11, 2026, at the JW Marriott, Washington, D.C. and the Symposium on Advanced Wound Care (SAWC) Spring | WHS taking place April 8 – 12, 2026, in Charlotte, North Carolina.
