This is Dr. Mata’s sixth year to receive the prestigious Top Doctor honor and Dr. Benjamin’s second. Dr. Mata earned his medical degree at University of Texas Medical Branch School of Medicine. He completed a three-year surgery residency and a three-year plastic/reconstructive surgery residency at UTMB Hospital, a plastic surgery residency at Harvard Medical School’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and a one-year cosmetic plastic surgery fellowship at Ciao Bella Cosmetic Surgery in Chandler, Ariz. He also holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix.
Dr. Benjamin earned his medical degree at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. He completed a five-year general surgery residency at University of Chicago Medical Center and a two-year plastic surgery residency at Nassau University Medical Center in New York (Long Island Plastic Surgery).
Both surgeons are affiliated with HonorHealth Scottsdale Shea Medical Center, and Dr. Mata also is affiliated with Chandler Regional Medical Center.
