Kaine Law Awards Its Annual Growing Your Community Scholarship to Medical College of Georgia Student

ATLANTA, GA, September 08, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ — Atlanta, GA, September 8 — Nikhil Jaganathan was awarded Kaine Law‘s 2023 Growing Your Community Scholarship.

As a student at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Nikhil will use the $1,500 scholarship to benefit his educational and professional goals. He plans to spend the next four years studying for his Doctor of Medicine degree, followed by residency training. Nikhil aspires to become a cardiologist and open a cardiovascular clinic.

Cardiovascular disease has personally impacted Nikhil, which fuels his passion for studying medicine. Nikhil states that poor heart health has taken the lives of two of his grandparents, and their loss motivated him to work toward medical advancements in heart disease.

Community-Mindedness Makes Nikhil Kaine Law’s Ideal Awardee

Nikhil’s motivation and dedication to community service made him Kaine Law’s ideal Growing Your Community Scholarship recipient. He has volunteered as an emergency medical technician (EMT) in diverse settings, which prompted his desire to work in underprivileged communities when he becomes a doctor. Nikhil has also worked for his community’s hospitals, such as Piedmont Hospital in Augusta and Grady Hospital in Atlanta.

Nikhil is committed to seeing his college community thrive. During his undergraduate education, he served as the Vice President of Augusta University’s Doctors Without Borders and worked as the Fundraising Chair of Brain Exercise Initiative. He developed strong leadership abilities through these non-profit humanitarian organizations and encouraged community involvement on his college campus.

When he isn’t in class, Nikhil hikes, kayaks, and tutors aspiring medical students.
