These scholarships aim to support students in pursuing their academic goals while recognizing their contributions to their communities, perseverance in overcoming challenges, and dedication to personal growth.
The 2024 Community Involvement Scholarship encourages students to reflect on their passion for volunteering and community service. Applicants are required to submit a 500–1000-word essay detailing their journey towards community involvement and the impact of their efforts throughout their academic career. The selected recipient will receive a $500 award to aid in their educational pursuits.
For students who have overcome learning disabilities, the 2024 Overcoming a Learning Disability Scholarship provides an opportunity to share their experiences and aspirations. Applicants are asked to submit a 500–1000-word essay outlining their learning disability challenges, future goals, and strategies for success. The scholarship recipient will be awarded $500 to assist with their college expenses.
Additionally, the 2024 Personal Goals Scholarship is available for students with ambitious personal and academic objectives. In a 500–1000-word essay, applicants are invited to describe their vision for the next decade and explain how the scholarship will support their journey toward achieving their goals. The selected recipient will receive a $500 scholarship towards their educational endeavors.
To be eligible, applicants must be high school seniors accepted to or enrolled in a 4-year college institution, residing in the specified counties. Submission requirements include contact information, a color photograph, proof of school attendance or acceptance, and official transcripts. The deadline for all scholarship applications is April 12, 2024.
The winners will be chosen based on the creativity, originality, and clarity of their essay submissions. Successful applicants will be notified by April 19, 2024, and the scholarship funds will be disbursed directly to their respective colleges by August 2, 2024.
