Boxes at Sublett will provide spaces for micro enterprises and hobbyists to sell their goods

ARLINGTON, TX, March 16, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ — Real Estate Developer Ron Sturgeon loves shipping containers. His most recent project using the innovative and eco-friendly building material, Boxes at Sublett, promises to be the most exciting yet.

Sturgeon’s latest container project, his third in Tarrant County, will be at Sublett and 287, where he intends to build phase two of a shopping center that he owns.

Sturgeon is a big advocate for the small business community with more than 1000 such tenants in Tarrant County. He loves mom-and-pop businesses.

“I’m especially excited about Boxes at Sublett because it will bring extra-small retail spaces for micro-enterprises that are not available anywhere in Tarrant County to an innovative community like Arlington with its many attractions,” said Sturgeon. “This type of development is great for the creative type tenants and customers, and we hope to get a coffee shop for everyone to enjoy as well,” he added.

Cities across the United States are gravitating to shipping container retail centers for their appeal to the younger generation and to small enterprises with goods to sell. Similar shipping container malls have appeared in Las Vegas (Downtown Container Park), Kansas City (The Iron District), Nashville (C1TYblox), and Wesley Chapel, Florida (Krate at the Grove), among other cities.

Sturgeon’s first shipping container project, Box Office Warehouse Suites, a shipping container business park built with 150 containers, has been a sensational success. The park is fully leased with a waiting list. It’s located in North Ft Worth, at the Golden Triangle exit off of I35W.

Additionally, Box Office Warehouse Suites was the inspiration for Sturgeon’s custom home, a three-story shipping container house in Downtown Fort Worth with a swimming pool on the top floor, close to Montgomery Plaza.

Boxes at Sublett is in the permitting stage with the City of Arlington and is expected to open in 2024. It will consist of approximately 30 containers, a covered promenade and plenty of parking.
