Advisors can capture an image of their client’s check and upload it for posting to the client’s account the same day
COSTA MESA, CA, January 29, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ — Envision Financial Systems, Inc., a leading provider of real-time mutual fund shareholder recordkeeping and trading technology, has added remote check capture functionality to its FundKeeper platform.
With FundKeeper’s remote check capture, advisors can capture an image of their client’s check and upload it for posting to the client’s account the same day. The functionality also allows advisors to allocate proceeds from a single virtual check to multiple funds.
Said Prithvi Hariharan, CTO of Envision, “While remote check capture is fairly mainstream in banking, it has been slow to make its way to mutual fund investing. As mutual fund technologists, we’re constantly looking for ways to add efficiency and ease to our clients’ processes. This new feature may seem like a small thing, but it’s a big improvement for our clients’ back office processes as well as enhancing the advisor and investor experience.”
Envision Financial Systems launched FundKeeper in collaboration with U.S. Bancorp Fund Services during the fall of 2017. FundKeeper brings financial intermediaries a new approach to trading and mutual fund-only investor accounts. Traditionally, intermediaries have held these accounts directly with mutual fund families–and suffered business inefficiencies and lack of control. Or, they’ve been forced to “go to traditional brokerage” with accounts unsuited to conventional brokerage fees and complexity. We believe FundKeeper is a better alternative to both these options.
FundKeeper provides access to more than 16,000 funds with a largely ‘all electronic’ mutual fund experience allowing financial intermediary firms to enhance upfront compliance and eliminate the need for back-end consolidation of their clients’ mutual fund holdings.
